MS Dhoni Storms Onto the Field to Argue with Umpire

In one of the most shocking moments of IPL 2019, MS Dhoni — widely regarded as the calmest captain in cricket — walked onto the field of play to argue with the umpires during a match between CSK and Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur.

The incident occurred in the final over when umpire Ulhas Gandhe initially signalled a no-ball for a high full-toss bowled by Ben Stokes but then reversed the decision after consulting with the square-leg umpire. CSK needed runs off the final deliveries, and the no-ball would have given them a free hit and an extra run.

Dhoni, who was not even batting at the time, stormed onto the field in his pads and had an animated argument with the umpires, pointing and gesturing.
